“The Empress of Tomorrow” competed in a hard-fought match against Flair, who suffered an arm injury during a scuffle with Nia Jax. Asuka targeted her injured arm for most of the match. She ultimately used the advantage to finally defeat “The Queen” and retain her title.
Later, Sasha Banks and Bayley picked up their third successful title defense in two weeks when “The Boss” forced Peyton Royce to tap out. Afterward, Banks announced that she plans to challenge for a singles title at WWE Extreme Rules.
Just when it looked like she might confront her partner, she called out Asuka. The champion accepted. Then, Banks and Bayley proceeded to ambush her and stood tall with all four title belts.
So, it looks like the Golden Role Models will continue to run roughshod on the women’s division.
WWE Extreme Rules will take place on Sunday, July, 19. The event will stream live on the WWE Network.
