Following the events of their second show at Shin-kiba 1st Ring, STARDOM will hold a Wonder of Stardom Tournament to crown a new champion.
Many have speculated about the fate of the “white belt” since Arisa Hoshiki retired and vacated the title in May. At their latest live event, STARDOM finally devised a solution.
In the main event, Donna del Mondo took on the team of Starlight Kid, Riho, and Tam Nakano in a six-woman tag match. Giulia pinned Kid to secure the win for her team, following her first loss with STARDOM on Saturday.
Afterward, the leader of Donna del Mondo declared that she should be Wonder of Stardom Champion because she won this year’s Cinderella Tournament. Nakano stepped in and stated that her partner, Hoshiki, promised her a rematch.
Natsuko Tora also staked her claim to the “white belt” because she was next in line for a title shot. Then, Konami entered the fray and suggested a tournament.
According to Tokyo Sports, the Wonder of Stardom Tournament will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on July 17 and 26. In other news, the Joshi promotion also revealed Mayu Iwatani’s next opponent for the “red belt”.
Iwatani, Momo Watanabe, and Konami fought to a 20-minute draw on Sunday. Afterward, Jungle Kyona challenged her for the World of Stardom Championship.
That match will take place on July 24 in Kyona’s hometown, Nagoya. Be sure to check back with Bell to Belles for updates on the upcoming Wonder of Stardom tournament.
