Sasha Banks becomes the official Raw Women’s Champion

After a controversial finish at Extreme Rules, Sasha Banks defeated Asuka in their rematch to become the official Raw Women’s Champion.

A week ago, Banks took possession of the Raw women’s title after her tag team partner counted the pinfall to make her the unofficial champion. Last Monday, Stephanie McMahon stepped in and set up a rematch to settle the matter.

“The Empress of Tomorrow” fought to retain or regain her title on tonight’s episode of Raw. Straight away, Kairi Sane ran Bayley away so she couldn’t interfere in the match.

Unsurprisingly, Banks and Asuka delivered an excellent match filled with thrilling near fall, crafty counters, and painful submission maneuvers. “The Boss” targeted Asuka’s leg throughout, a tactic that Charlotte Flair used to end her undefeated streak.

The former champion managed to survive and deal out some punishment of her own. It looked like she was about to finish up the match until Bayley appeared on the Titantron.

Backstage, she beat Sane down as she screamed for help, forcing Asuka to leave the ring and lose the match via count-out. As a result, Sasha Banks is the new Raw Women’s Champion. She and Bayley officially hold all three women’s titles.
