Monday, STARDOM announced the dates, participants, and corresponding blocks for the 2020 5Star Grand Prix.

Over the weekend, the Joshi promotion revealed their biggest tournament of the year will return to Korakuen Hall this August. The event is a traditional round-robin tournament where STARDOM splits competitors into two blocks, the Red Stars and the Blue Stars.
Today, the company revealed the blocks and competitor for the 2020 5Star Grand Prix.
The Red Stars block consists of Mayu Iwatani, Giulia, Tam Nakano, Konami, Starlight Kid, Saya Kamitani, DEATH Yama-san, and Himeka.
Interestingly, this lineup guarantees that there will be a rematch between Giulia and Nakano following their Wonder of Stardom Championship match on Sunday. The leader of Donna del Mondo, Himeka, Starlight Kid and Kamitani will notably make their tournament debut.
Meanwhile, Momo Watanabe, Utami Hayashishita, Jungle Kyona, AZM, Natsuko Tora, Saki Kashima, Syuri, and Maika will compete in the Blue Stars block. Syuri and Maika are first-time 5Star Grand Prix entrants.
The 2020 5Star Grand Prix will begin on Aug. 8 and 9. The participant with the most points from each block will meet in the tournament finals on Sept. 19.
