Ariane Andrew made her surprise debut on tonight’s episode AEW Dynamite, where she revealed herself as Nyla Rose’s new partner.
The reluctant pairing is the first official team to enter the AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament. This odd couple of sorts came together after AEW announced the rules for the eight-team tournament.

As it turns out, the competing teams will be randomly selected. Each participant must select a colored chip and the person who picks the matching color will be their partner.
Nyla Rose picked a purple chip. Afterward, Dasha Gonzalez told her that someone else already picked purple. That’s when Ariane Andrew stepped in and revealed that she will be Rose’s partner.
Andrew hasn’t appeared for a wrestling company since WWE released her in 2016. However, she was supposed to return during WrestleMania weekend as a part of EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch.
Unfortunately, the event was canceled like many others due to COVID-19. It’s good to see that Ariane Andrew received another opportunity with AEW.
The new rules add an interesting wrinkle to The Deadly Draw. This means that “The Nightmare Sisters” might not end up together. For now, we will have to wait and see.
The Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw will begin on Monday, Aug. 3 on AEW’s YouTube channel.
