WWE signed its first French women’s wrestler, Amale, who will be the newest addition to NXT UK and its women’s division.
The current wXw Women’s Champion broke the news on Tuesday on her Twitter account. Amale made her NXT UK debut last year on the Nov. 16 episode in a losing effort to Jinny.
She has made several appearances on the brand since where she competed against Aoife Valkyrie, Dani Luna, and Xia Brookside. However, the French Morrocan wrestler is most well known for her time with Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw).
Amale lives a double life of sorts. She wrestles but she’s also a teacher and a law school graduate. This has become more common over the past few years. Notable names like NXT UK’s Eddie Dennis and AEW’s “Hangman” Adam Page have also worked at a school.
