A positive COVID-19 test forced STARDOM to cancel their Saturday show in Osaka, Japan. This, unfortunately, puts a halt to the 5Star Grand Prix for now.
The show initially took a hit when the Wonder of Stardom Champion, Giulia, withdrew from her match due to severe headaches. Then, the promotion revealed that one of their performers, who didn’t come on the road trip, tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result, STARDOM decided to cancel the show to be on the safe side. This couldn’t have happened at a worse time because the company just got rolling again and the 5Star Grand Prix is underway. However, the promotion probably made the right choice.
It’s unclear how they will adjust to this cancellation or when they plan to start hosting events again. Their next two shows, Stardom Yokohama Cinderella, were scheduled for SummerSlam weekend, Aug. 22 and 23.
