Madison Rayne competed in her final independent wrestling match on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Warrior Wrestling’s Stadium Series III show in Chicago Heights. In the main event, Rayne unsuccessfully challenged fellow Impact Wrestling star Kylie Rae for the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship.
Even though her independent career is in the books, Rayne has made it clear on Twitter that she’s far from finished competing for Impact Wrestling.
Madison Rayne’s career has spanned 15 years with several hundred matches under her belt. The killer Queen Bee spent the majority of that time competing for TNA/Impact Wrestling, though she’s also had stints in Ohio Championship Wrestling, Shimmer, and Ring of Honor. No matter where she ventured to, Rayne has always returned “home” to Impact.
It’s for that reason that it seemed fitting Rayne take on an up-and-coming Knockout in Kylie Rae. The two had crossed paths in multi-person matches before, but had never gone one-on-one. Additionally, her final indie match taking place in the Chicagoland area was the icing on top of the cake considering Rayne has competed in the region nearly thirty times.
What’s next for Madison Rayne as far as in-ring competition remains to be seen. One thing’s for sure, she will continue to call Impact alongside husband Josh Mathews every week. And when she’s not in the announce booth, Rayne will host Locker Room Talk to get the inside scoop backstage.
She’s a five-time Knockouts Champion and a two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion. A commentator and talk show host. Whatever is asked of her, Madison Rayne rises to the occasion to prove she’s a pillar of the Knockouts division, and women’s wrestling in general.
