During tonight’s Impact Wrestling pay-per-view event “Bound For Glory”, Su Yung defeated Deonna Purrazzo to become the new Impact Knockouts Champion.
After reverting back to her alter ego Susie earlier this year, The Undead Bride returned to make a surprise appearance during “Bound For Glory”, in place of a missing Kylie Rae. Yung answered the defending champ Deonna Purrazzo’s open challenge, issued after Rae failed to show up to the match.
Yung defeated Purrazzo after a hard-fought 15-minute match, becoming the new Impact Knockouts Champion. No information was given on why Rae was absent.
Earlier this week, it was announced in an Impact Press Pass call that The Virtuosa had finally signed with Impact Wrestling. Purrazzo debuted for Impact in June, attacking the then champ Jordynne Grace. Purrazzo would go on to defeat Grace in July at Slammiversary to become the new Knockouts Champion. Purrazzo’s reign lasted just under 90 days.
