Jessica Troy on Charli Evans, PWA, and Australia Wrestling

Ella Jay from A Wrestling Gal Podcast spoke with Jessica Troy in an exclusive interview for Bell To Belles. They discussed how Troy kept busy during lockdown, her friendship with Charli Evans, wrestling at PWA, and making the PWI Women’s 100 list for the very first time.

Troy has been around the scene for six years already, even though the Australia native is only 23 years old. Working for the likes of SHIMMER, RiSE, CZW, Black Label Pro and Progress, she’s faced fierce opponents like Shazza McKenzie, Charli Evans, Chelsea Green, Indi Hartwell, Jessicka Havok, and Britt Baker, while also making a solid name for herself in the world of intergender wrestling.

Her experience and talent landed her on the PWI Women’s 100 list for the very first time at no. 91, and Troy spoke on how sometimes she feels Australia wrestling is so far away from the fandom.

It’s amazing, because sometimes I always forget that people are watching us down here, and it feels like we’re so far away and isolated from the rest of the world, that I get worried that no one else is focusing on Australian wrestling. But we have really, really, really good wrestlers down here. So, [I] want the entire world to see it.
