Taylor Wilde again teases return to in-ring action

Former TNA Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde spoke with Women’s Wrestling Talk on the state of women’s wrestling and her life since leaving the ring.

It seems there could be an imminent return to in-ring action, for Wilde. If Wilde returns to Impact Wrestling, this would confirm a report from PWInsider last November that stated Wilde was on her way back to the company. The interview is another in a string where Wilde has teased her comeback.

Wilde was set to make an appearance for Impact at their Lockdown event in Toronto earlier this year, an appearance that would have marked her return, but the event was canceled due to the pandemic. The former Knockouts champ wrestled with TNA from 2008 until she left wrestling in 2011.

Wilde’s last match was nearly 10 years ago against Cheerleader Melissa, but the Ontario native says her return to the ring is on the horizion.

…I can say I am signed. And it is [with a] promotion, and I will be back on TV, both to start this month. But due to the political climate as it is, and a bunch of administrative boring stuff, I’m not able to start this month, but hopefully next month…I’m still going to leave the promotion as a surprise, as [it would] just be better for everybody. It’s a little bit of a surprise.”

Wilde continued by sharing hints on which company she may, or may not, be working with.

I’m not going to say that it’s not [Impact]. It’s not, not starting with the letter “I”, okay. But it’s also not starting with the letter ‘A’ or ‘W’. I’m just going to leave it in the wind. I don’t know. I will say, though, that this promotion has a strong-ass women’s division. And [I’m] so excited to be a part of it. These are all women I haven’t had the chance to work with since I’ve retired. These are all the new generation, and it’s a really exciting place to be, right now.”
