3 Takeaways from WrestleMania 36 Night 1

A surprise title change on Night 2

Given the results of the women’s matches from WrestleMania 36 Night 1, it’s not hard imagine we could see a title change tonight. WWE possibly saved the bigger moments for their second show.

That would explain why Shayna Baszler vs. Becky Lynch took place on Night 1. Lynch’s eventual loss will be a big deal. In retrospect, we should’ve expected her to retain given the placement of the match.

Charlotte Flair could win the NXT Women’s Championship. That would be an extremely unpopular decision, but it’s not outside of the company’s usual thought process.

With that said, it’s seems much more likely that Bayley will lose the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The fatal five-way match may appear to be a last-minute addition, but it’s actually a nice way to wrap up Bayley’s storylines as champion.

She has made a lot of enemies over the last few months and the “blue brand” is in desperate need of a new face to carry its women’s division. Many fans are probably hoping to see Sasha Banks betray her friend and win the title for the first time.

That’s a story that needs a little more time to develop though. There’s more they can do with them together, as well.

On the other hand, Naomi has had the most momentum since she returned at Royal Rumble. She could earn a second WrestleMania moment tonight when she dethrones Bayley to become a three-time SmackDown Women’s Champion.
