On Sunday night, Brandi Rhodes posted the third installment of “Sessions,” which seemingly spelled the end of The Nightmare Collective.
In the short clip, Rhodes appears to be back to normal as she burned the veil and ring gear she wore lately. This could possibly coincide with her appearance on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where she tearfully ran down to the ring to support Cody.
Rumblings that AEW was writing The Nightmare Collective off started when Mel and Luther turned on Awesome Kong on the latest episode of Dark. The subsequent attack led to the news that Kong will be out of action indefinitely.
AEW revealed that she suffered a serious injury. However, Mike Johnson of PWInsider suspects they took her off television so she could film the fourth and final season of GLOW.
It’s unclear if this new video signifies a turns for Brandi Rhodes. Nevertheless, it does seem to confirm that The Nightmare Collective is done.
The increasingly unpopular stable had some potential. But it never garnered the kind of heat needed to necessitate their inclusion on Dynamite. Meanwhile, fans are responding well to Britt Baker’s recent character change, so it’s probably for the best.
