Bull Nakano will appear at The Summit

Japanese wrestling legend Bull Nakano will appear at The Summit in association with RISE Wrestling. The all women’s promotion made the announcement earlier today via Twitter.

Nakano famously enjoyed a nearly ten year run All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling from the eighties into the early nineties. Mainstream wrestling fans probably remember her because of her feud with Alundra Blayze for WWF in 1994. She retired just three years later due to injuries.

In 2017, the AJW Hall of Famer made her first in-ring appearance in years at RISE 6, where participated in an angle with Kikyo, Dynamite DiDi, and Kris Wolf. Nakano acted as a heel manager for Wolf in a match against Shotzi Blackheart, who was accompanied by Blayze.

The Summit will be a two-day event, starting with a seminar scheduled for Friday, Aug. 9. The show will take place on Saturday, Aug. 10.

RISE revealed Bull Nakano will return as a part of both events. Later, the promotion’s owner and executive producer, Kevin Harvey, took to Twitter to express how special he believes it will be to have her back for such a landmark event.

Nakano will probably be one of many women’s wrestling legends who will participate in the seminar over SummerSlam weekend.

The Summit will take place The MET – Midtown Event Theatre on Aug. 10. The Meet & Greet will start at 10 am and bell time is at 12 pm. Tickets are available here.
