On SmackDown, Carmella won her qualifying match to earn a spot in the 2020 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Mandy Rose faced the first Women’s Money in the Bank winner, Carmella, in the final qualifying match. Halfway through the match, Sonya Deville came out and cut a promo on her former best friend and tag partner.
Fire and Desire officially broke up on Night Two of WrestleMania 36. On the Apr. 10 episode of SmackDown, Sonya revealed that she wanted to ruin Mandy’s life in a scathing promo.
Tonight, she became too much of a distraction as Carmella took advantage to pick up the win. Afterward, Deville beat down Rose until the officials stepped in.
Next Sunday, Carmella will join Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke, Asuka, Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler. They will participate in the fourth annual Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
In other news, Daniel Bryan confirmed that this year the six men and six women will compete “at the same time” for their respective Money in the Bank briefcases. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also reiterated that both ladder matches were filmed at the same time.
Money in the Bank will take place on Sunday, May 10 at “Titan Towers,” WWE’s global headquarters building in Stamford, Connecticut.
