On tonight’s episode of NXT, WWE announced that Dakota Kai will face Tegan Nox in a steel cage match in two weeks.
Dakota Kai and Tegan have been involved in a heated rivalry since “The Captain of Team Kick” betrayed Nox at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. On Sunday, Kai defeated her former best friend with the help of Raquel Gonzalez. Tonight, Gonzalez explained why she interfered to help Kai.
“Tegan Nox hasn’t gotten every opportunity and pushed Dakota aside,” she said. “I know what that feels like. I sat at the PC and watched as other competitors got opportunities before me. At WarGames, Dakota was overlooked again by her so-called friends and because she chose to stand up for herself she has now been outcast? Not anymore.”
Kai confirmed the two have aligned. Then, William Regal stepped in to say Tegan Nox will get a rematch in two weeks. He also assured her there will be no interference because it will be a steel cage match.
In other news, Bianca Belair interrupted Chelsea Green and Kayden Carter’s match to call out Charlotte Flair. She has unfinished with “The Queen” after she hurled her into the ring steps following her title match with Rhea Ripley.
Belair made it clear she will fight her anywhere, possibly setting up a match for NXT or Raw.
