ICW will crown a new Women’s World Champion this April

Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) set up two matches to determine their new Women’s World Champion in April. Kasey Owens, Molly Spartan, Isla Dawn, and Angel Hayze will all compete for the vacant title.

This development comes a few days after the revelation that the current champion, Aivil, sustained an injury at the 9th Annual Square Go!

This weekend, she will relinquish the title, which she has held for 114 days, at the Fight Club tapings on Sunday, Mar. 1. Aivil, who is also known as Jokey, defeated three-time ICW Women’s World Champion, Kasey Owens, at Fear & Loathing XII in November.

“The Twisted Priestess” successfully defended her title against Isla Dawn at the 9th Annual Square Go! earlier this month. Unfortunately, the win came with a cost as she suffered an undisclosed injury at some point during the match.

As two opponents Aivil has bested, Dawn and Owens have to be the most driven to capture the title. Angel Hayze also has a history with the former champion.

She teamed up with Aivil against Kasey and Little Miss Roxxy on an episode of Fight Club in December. They also competed against each for several indie promotions.

On Sunday, Kasey will take on Molly Spartan for the first slot in the upcoming title match. On Mar. 22, Isla Dawn and Angel Hayze will compete for the second slot.

On Apr. 5, the winners will compete for the vacant ICW Women’s World Championship at the Glasgow Garage.
