IMPACT Knockouts title match set for Bound for Glory

IMPACT Knockouts title match set for Bound for Glory

IMPACT has officially scheduled a Knockouts Championship match for Bound for Glory next month.

On yesterday’s episode of IMPACT!, they announced that Taya Valkyrie will defend her title against recent signee, Tenille Dashwood.

The former ROH and WWE star, debuted with the company last month when she confronted and attacked Valkyrie after her match. Afterward, she raised the IMPACT Knockouts Championship belt, seemingly laying down a challenge.

Two weeks later, she took on Kiera Hogan in her in-ring debut and pulled out the win after a tough match. Dashwood picked up another win on this week’s episode against Madison Rayne.

Meanwhile, Valkyrie tried to make a deal with Rosemary. “La Wera Loca” offered her a title shot if she took out Dashwood for her, but Rosemary turned her down.

In other news, Tessa Blanchard defeated Dave Crist to qualify for a spot the X Division Championship Ladder Match, which will also take place at Bound for Glory. This puts her on a collision course with Sami Callihan’s stablemate and the current X Division Champion, Jake Crist.

Crist cost Blanchard a shot at the Impact World Championship when he interfered in her second match against Callihan last month at Unbreakable. This could be her chance for revenge and another opportunity to make history as the first woman to claim the title.

Bound for Glory will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20 at The Odeum in Chicago, IL at 8 pm EST.
