On Saturday, AEW aired the finals of the Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament where Ivelisse and Diamante defeated the early favorites.

Last round, Ivelisse and Diamante beat the team of Anna Jay and Tay Conti. Meanwhile, Brandi Rhodes and Allie managed to survive Swole Family with some interference from Britt Baker.

The Nightmare Sister entered the night as favorites to win “The Deadly Draw.” After all, AEW initially introduced the tournament because the new team was looking for more pairings to challenge.

On the other hand, their opponents had picked up two impressive wins en route to the finals. Saturday night wasn’t much different.

The Nightmare Sister put up a strong fight. At one point, Rhodes landed a Bionic Spear on Diamante and Allie quickly followed it up with Down the Rabbit Hole for the win. However, Ivelisse broke up the pin to keep her team’s hopes alive.

Later, QT Marshall tried to interfere but Ivelisse dispatched him and Rhodes, leaving Allie isolated in the ring. Then, she and Diamante quickly took advantage and double teamed her to win via pinfall.

At the top of the ramp, women’s wrestling legend, Madusa, crowned Ivelisse and Diamante the AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament winners.
