Mercedes Martinez officially joins WWE

Tuesday, Mercedes Martinez officially joined WWE at the Performance Center as part of the newest class of recruits.

As we reported last week, SoCal Uncensored initially broke the news that Mercedes Martinez signed with WWE. This has seemingly been a long time coming.

Fans may remember her from her standout performance in the inaugural Mae Young Classic and her return for the second tournament in 2018. “The Latina Sensation” also made a few appearances on NXT.

Martinez is a 19-year veteran with a long list of accomplishments on the indie circuit. She has worked with CZW, SHIMMER, Ring of Honor, SHINE, NCW Femme Fatales, RISE, AEW, WSU, and many other promotions. Any company would lucky to have her, so she is a great acquisition for WWE.

WWE also signed Emily Andzulis. She was a contestant on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s “Titan Games,”  where she was crowned the first female Titan. Andzulis has a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo.

This is a smaller class of WWEPC recruits than we’ve seen in the past but Mercedes Martinez will make a big impact.
