Following the events of Volumes 114 and 115, SHIMMER Wrestling has scheduled three championship matches to close the weekend.
First, Hyan, Rhia O’Reilly, and Kris Statlander will compete in a triple threat match to determine the Interim Heart of SHIMMER Champion. Samantha Heights was forced to vacate the title after her impending surgery was delayed.
As a result, the promotion set up three one-on-one matches. The winner of each would advance to the aforementioned triple threat match.
At Volume 114, Kris Statlander defeated Marti Belle to become the first contender, while Hyan put Brittany Blake away with her finisher—The Beauty Sleep. At the second event, Rhia O’Reilly pinned Veda Scott to move forward.
Next, the newly-crowned SHIMMER Tag Team Champions, Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo, will defend their titles against Charli Evans and Jessica Troy—Team Blue Nation.
Team Sea Stars just defeated Cheerleader Melissa and Mercedes Martinez last night at Volume 115 to end their 377-day reign. Their first challengers hope to make that win look like just a fluke.
Last, but not least, Nicole Savoy will defend the SHIMMER Championship against Shotzi Blackheart, Priscilla Kelly, and Kimber Lee in a fatal four-way elimination match.
Savoy, the longest-reigning champion, has held the title for 721 days. Yesterday, she successfully defended the championship against KellyAnne in the main event of Volume 115. A fatal four-way stacks the deck against heading into tonight.
Today’s events will mark Blackheart’s final appearance with the promotion before she starts with NXT. However, she has never held the SHIMMER Championship. So, she requested a title shot after she defeated Holidead last night.
Kelly and Kimber Lee came out afterward and asked for an opportunity as well, setting up the main event of Volume 116. If Shotzi wins, the title will be vacated and they will set up a tournament to crown the new champion next year.
SHIMMER will return to Berwyn Eagles Club at noon CST. Be sure to check back with Bell to Belles for more updates.
