Nia Jax makes her WWE return on Raw

On the night after WrestleMania 36. Nia Jax made her long-awaited WWE return.

Tonight’s episode of Raw wasn’t as exciting or unpredictable as the traditional night after WrestleMania episode but there was at least one surprise return. The Irresistible Force is finally back, following a year in recovery.

The last time the WWE Universe saw Nia Jax was last year at WrestleMania 35, where she competed in the Fatal Four-Way Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Later, WWE revealed that Jax tore her ACL in both legs, forcing her to undergo double knee surgery. The recovery process for one ACL is grueling enough. So, one could imagine it has been a challenging year for the former Raw Women’s Champion.

Apparently, Nia Jax was cleared to make her WWE return last month. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, she was ready to make a potential appearance on SmackDown.

Nevertheless, she made her official return tonight in a match with Deonna Purrazzo. The bout itself wasn’t much to write home about but Jax debuted a new finisher.

It looked like the match was over after she hit Purrazzo with a Samoan Drop. Then, Jax lifted her up and finished the match with the Rampaige, Paige’s old finisher.

Afterward, Paige took to Twitter to reveal that she gave Jax permission to use the move. That shouldn’t come as a surprise as the two are close friends.
