The former Raw Women’s Champion last appeared in the ring at this year’s WrestleMania. She and her teammate, Tamina, were part of the fatal four-way match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. After Mania, she underwent double knee surgery to repair her ACL in both knees.
In a recent episode of Total Divas, viewers learned that Jax had been wrestling for quite a while with basically no ACL in either knee. WWE originally estimated her return could be eight to fourteen months post-op, which could potentially lead to a return at Royal Rumble.
There is still no time frame for when Nia will actually make her return to action. But the fact that she has been cleared to train in the ring is a good sign.
