Yesterday, Defy Wrestling announced that Meiko Satomura will defend the PROGRESS Women’s Championship against Nicole Savoy at Wrestle Summit 2.
Wrestle Summit 2 is a cross-promotional show that will bring together wrestlers from DEFY, PCW Ultra, and PROGRESS Wrestling. The two-night event will take place at Washington Hall in Seattle later this month.
Satomura, the current PROGRESS Women’s Champion, will take on the former SHIMMER Champion, Nicole Savoy, on the first night.
Meiko Satomura defeated Jordynne Grace in September at Chapter 95: Still Chasing to become the first Japanese champion in the title’s short history.
Since she successfully defended the title against Dani Luna at PROGRESS Chapter 97 last month. Savoy will be the latest challenger, coming off a record-breaking reign as SHIMMER Champion.
Nicole also just made her Pro Wrestling: EVE debut in the SHE-1 Series over the weekend.
This is the second Wrestle Summit event PCW Ultra has hosted this year. The first show took place in Los Angeles, California in March. It boasted a stacked card featuring wrestlers from DEFY, IMPACT, and other indie promotions.
Wrestle Summit 2 will take place on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at Washington Hall at 8 pm.
