Today, All Elite Wrestling announced the NWA Women’s World Championship will be defended during the AEW Double Or Nothing pre-show, “The Buy In”.
Current NWA Women’s World Champion and AEW roster member Serena Deeb will defend her title against inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion Riho. Deeb has held the title since last October; a reign lasting over 200 days.
The Virginia-native has defended the title five times since winning it from Thunder Rosa, defeating Leyla Hirsch, Tay Conti, Red Velvet, and Thunder Rosa on episodes of Dynamite, and successfully defended the title against Allysin Kay at the Full Gear 2020 Buy-In, last November.
This will be Riho’s fifth match back in the States since returning to AEW for the Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament. Riho was last seen in March in a singles match against Maki Itoh on AEW Dark: Elevation.
The AEW Double Or Nothing Buy In starts at 7:30pm EST on AEW’s YouTube channel, this Sunday, May 30. The main show follows live on pay-per-view at 8pm EST.
