Nyla Rose earns a shot at the AEW women’s world title
On this week’s episode Dynamite, Nyla Rose became the new number one contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Tonight, Rose took on Big Swole in a one on one match to determine Riho‘s next challenger. There has been some interest in a match between the two since their encounter in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale at All Out.
Early on, Swole used her speed and strikes to take Rose down. It looked like an effective strategy at first but “The Native Beast” eventually used her strength and size advantage to gain control.
The match spilled outside of the ring, where Rose viciously targeted Swole’s fingers. She managed to fight back and take Nyla back to the mate. Back in the ring, Big Swole executed a smooth slingshot cutter for a near fall.
Rose withstood all of the offense her opponent could muster and ultimately put her away with the Beast Bomb. Thus, Nyla Rose earned a rematch against Riho for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
They haven’t faced each other since the series premiere of Dynamite, where Riho became the inaugural champion. This is Nyla’s chance at retribution.
