WWE has announced that Renee Young will host WWE Backstage, which will air on Fox Sports (FS1). FS1, which is the sister station to Fox, will air this hour-long studio show beginning on Nov. 5.
Renee Young had this to say about her new endeavor.
“WWE Backstage is a wrestling show for wrestling fans. From hardcore fans to people new to wrestling, we’ll give them a little bit of everything. It’s going to be fun, it’s going to be loud, we’re going to give them a ton of opinions and I can’t wait to help spread the word about SmackDown coming to FOX.”
The show will air on Tuesdays and will give fans their WWE fix since SmackDown is moving from Tuesday to Fridays nights on Oct. 4. Young and co-host Booker T will discuss news and have studio guests each week, including past and present superstars.
It sounds a lot like the popular show, Talking Smack, which previously aired on the WWE Network each week following SmackDown. A preview of WWE Backstage will air on Oct. 15 after the conclusion of the ALCS Game 3 on FS1.
