Fourth-generation wrestler, Simone Johnson, officially joined the WWE Performance Center to train for a career in wrestling full time.
The company made the announcement on Monday afternoon. The 18-year-old daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plans to follow in his footsteps. She will also carry on the legacy of WWE Hall of Famers “High Chief” Peter Maivia and her late grandfather, Rocky Johnson.
In 2018, Simone started training at the Performance Center part-time while she finished school. Now, she looks to start a more serious training regimen.
“Simone Johnson’s unbridled passion and incredible drive have earned her a coveted spot training with the elite athletes from around the world at the WWE Performance Center,” said Triple H. “Not only does Simone now have an opportunity to cultivate and display her passion for WWE within the Performance Center, but she’ll carry on the tradition of her incredible family lineage while creating her own impact as WWE’s first fourth-generation Superstar.”
WWE also announced that Johnson will participate in an interview with Cathy Kelly this Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET.
