In August, Toronto-based indie promotion, Smash Wrestling, will host an all women’s supershow called The Summit. At the event, KC Spinelli and Rosemary will face off to crown the first Smash Wrestling Women’s Champion.
SHIMMER Champion Nicole Savoy, Phoenix of RISE Champion Zoe Lucas, and Femme Fatales Champion Mercedes Martinez will also defend their respective titles at the cross-promotional show. This historic event will take place at The MET – Midtown Event Theatre during SummerSlam weekend.
The Summit is a part of a four-day event at The Met, which includes wXw Ambition 11, Smash vs. Progress, and Super Showdown VII.
Smash Wrestling was founded in 2012. Since they’ve become a focal point for independent wrestling in Canada.
Women’s wrestling is arguably more popular than it has ever been. So, now is a perfect time to host such an ambitious and star-studded event. Even more, it’s the most advantageous time for them to unveil their first women’s champion.
The Summit will take place The MET – Midtown Event Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 10. The Meet & Greet will start at 10 am and bell time is at 12 pm.
