STARDOM to award new Goddess of Stardom Champions
STARDOM recently announced a match to crown new Goddess of Stardom Champions as Jamie Hayter and Bea Priestley vacated the titles.
The Joshi promotion added another title match to their upcoming show at Korakuen Hall. The Goddess of Stardom titles will be on the line but the reigning champions, the Top Gaijins, are unable to compete.
The team of Jamie Hayter and Bea Priestley won the titles at Stardom’s 9th Anniversary show. At the event, they defeated Tokyo Cyber Squad to become the new champions.
Unfortunately, the outbreak of COVID-19 has caused countries worldwide to enact travel restrictions. That means that Priestley and Hayter won’t be able to come to Japan and work with STARDOM this summer.
The company’s solution to this situation was to declare the belts vacant. This weekend, the former champions, Jungle Kyona and Konami, will take on the number one contenders, Utami Hayashishita and Saya Kamitani. The winner will become the new Goddess of Stardom Champions.
Sunday, Giulia will also face Tam Nakano in the finals of the Wonder of Stardom Tournament. So, we are guaranteed to see two titles change hands when all is said and done.
The company’s next event at Korakuen Hall will take place July, 26. Be sure to check back with Bell to Belles for more STARDOM news.
