Team SmackDown set for WWE Survivor Series

Team SmackDown is finalized with the addition of Nikki Cross. WWE announced that she would join the team for Survivor Series as the final member via Twitter.

Team SmackDown will face representatives from both Raw and NXT in the Women’s Survivor Series Elimination Match next Sunday. NXT will be a part of the traditional five-on-five elimination match for the first time ever, making it a triple threat.

The “blue brand” will be lead by team captain, Sasha Banks. Carmella and Dana Brooke will join her after they earned their spots last Friday. Lacey Evans and Cross will round out the team as the last two members.

Initially, Nikki Cross faced Bayley to prove she deserved to be a part of the team of Friday’s episode of SmackDown. However, NXT invaded the show again, cutting the match short.

Instead, Banks and the others came to the aid of the SmackDown Women’s Champion, which initiated an eight-woman tag team match. Eventually, they successfully pushed the women of NXT back and stood tall.

It’s unclear who will represent Team Raw and Team NXT. With Survivor Series just a week away, WWE will look to announce each team in the next few days.
