Tessa Blanchard vacates WSU Championship, Statlander take over

Women Superstars United (WSU) announced that Tessa Blanchard has officially vacated her WSU World Championship effective retroactively to October 18th, 2019. Kris Statlander, who has been the interim champion in Blanchard’s absence, will now become the official WSU Champion.

Blanchard, who held the title since June 16, 2018, has been unable to compete as champion since she has been vying for the IMPACT World Championship. On Oct. 18, Statlander won a tournament at WSU’s Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus event to become the interim championship. She defeated Diamante in the final round.

Statlander will defend her Womens Superstars United World Championship at WSU’s Year End Double Header which takes place on Dec. 28. The Spirit Champion, Kiera Hogan, will also appear at the event. In addition, Tasha Steelz will make her debut with the promotion.
