The Top Five Women’s Tag Teams in WWE History

5. The Divas of Doom

Beth Phoenix and Natalya weren’t a full-time tag team or even a long-tenured duo. Still, they made the list as arguably the most dominant women’s tag team.

The real-life best friends didn’t fit WWE’s idea of what a Divas should look like. Later, they joined forces to prove their worth. The duo formed an alliance to take on the bullies of the women’s roster, LayCool. The four women faced off in the first-ever women’s Tables Match at WWE TLC 2010.

The Divas of Doom teamed up in several other feuds but the pair disbanded when Phoenix retired in 2012. Phoenix returned to in-ring action for a short run seven years later and the two reunited to take part in the fatal four-way match for the women’s tag titles at WrestleMania 35.

Although the Divas of Doom didn’t win the championship, they continued to work together during a European tour at the end of the year. If The Divas of Doom started during the current era, they would undoubtedly be the team to beat.
