The top five women’s WrestleMania matches

3. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks – WrestleMania 32

Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James boasted a compelling story. Meanwhile, this triple threat match for what would become the Raw Women’s Championship had all the spectacle and prominence fans would expect from a major WrestleMania bout.

Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch were all featured prominently on the marquee above the entrance to AT&T Stadium. For the first time in a long time, female Superstars felt just as big as their male counterparts.

On the kickoff show, four-time Women’s Champion, Lita, unveiled the new WWE Women’s Championship to commemorate the end of the Divas Era. The match itself set the tone for the shift in store for the division over the next four years

Banks, Flair, and Lynch put on a show in a match filled with counters, high spots, and submission holds. It was notably a star-making performance for “The Boss” though.

Her entrance received the loudest reaction and the crowd was firmly behind her throughout the fight. Charlotte picked up the win with the help of her father, Ric Flair, but this laid the groundwork for an excellent feud with Banks.

Today, the Raw Women’s Championship has a strong legacy thanks in part to its introduction at WrestleMania 32.
