Trish Stratus reportedly in talks to wrestle at SummerSlam

SummerSlam is is just over three weeks away, and the the card is finally coming together. A legend is rumored to be returning to action at summer’s biggest event. Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that it is “likely” Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be wrestling at the event, which takes place in her hometown of Toronto.

We have to wait and see if this comes to fruition, but after last night’s SmackDown, we may have an idea who she would battle. Charlotte Flair, who is yet to be added to the pay-per-view, cut a promo demanding to be put on the card so she can prove she is the greatest female wrestler of all-time.

Of course, this can change in a minute’s notice, but all signs are pointing to a match between Trish Stratus and Charlotte Flair. “The Queen” just surpassed Trish’s record of title reigns when she won her eighth championship this past March.

Stratus has appeared on and off for WWE since her retirement over a decade ago. Her most recent step into the ring was at last October’s Evolution pay-per-view where she teamed with her best friend Lita to defeat the team of Mickie James and Alicia Fox. She then appeared the next night on Raw in a ten-women tag team match.

The WWE Hall of Famer is still in incredible shape and should have no issues with ring rust. Both ladies are arguably the two greatest female wrestlers of all time, and this match could cement who is …The greatest of-all time.

SummerSlam takes place on Sunday, Aug. 11 in Toronto at the Scotiabank Arena.
