WWE announced that the Women’s Tag Team Championships will be in action at Clash of Champions next weekend. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross will defend their gold against Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
This past week on SmackDown, Fire & Desire made it clear to the champions that they wanted a shot at the titles. Rose and Deville beat the champions in a non-title match when Bliss was distracted by her teammate, who was being pummeled on the outside of the ring by Deville.
Fire & Desire debuted a new tag-team finishing moves towards the end to pick up the win.
Bliss and Cross have only held the championship for just a little over a month. However, they have been more of fighting champions than their predecessors The IIconics and The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection.
All three women’s championships will be defended at Clash of Champions on Sunday, Sept. 15. Along with the tag team titles match, Becky Lynch will defend the RAW Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks. On the SmackDown side, Bayley will put her title on the line against Charlotte Flair.
