WWE Women’s tag titles match announced for Starrcade

Today, WWE announced the Kabuki Warriors will defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship in a massive fatal four-way match at Starrcade.

The match will feature the Raw Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair, as well as the former champions—Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

In addition, the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley, will team up with Sasha Banks. The inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will challenge for the titles for the first time since they dropped them at WrestleMania 35.

Asuka and Kairi Sane will certainly have their hands full in their toughest title defense to date. This match pits them against two former tag champions and the two reigning Women’s Champions from their respective brands. They don’t even have to be pinned or submit to lose the titles.

Starrcade is becoming an annual event for WWE. This is the third year they’ve hosted the iconic event, which was originally produced by NWA.

The company revived Dusty Rhodes’ brainchild in November of 2017 as a SmackDown live event. Last year, it became a co-branded event and it aired as a one-hour special on the WWE Network.

Starrcade will take place this Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, Georgia. It will be available live on the WWE Network at 7 p.m. EST.
