WWE adds The Bella Twins to the 2020 Hall of Fame class
On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, WWE officially announced that The Bella Twins will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in April.
On Friday, Nikki and Brie Bella returned to WWE as special guests on “A Moment of Bliss.” Before they came out, Alexa Bliss recapped the confirmed 2020 Hall of Fame inductees.
Then, she introduced the Total Divas stars a part of that very class. Brie’s husband, Daniel Bryan, capped off the segment by running out with their daughter, Birdie, to congratulate her and his sister-in-law.
The notably pregnant duo came out to a positive reaction, despite their divisive reputation online. Reports that the Bellas were Hall of Fame-bound first surfaced last week, causing debate among women’s wrestling fans.
No matter what you think of the Nikki and Brie, it’s impossible to deny that they had a huge impact on women’s wrestling during The Divas Era. This news upsets some fans because there is a thought that some other women deserve to be acknowledged first.
That’s definitely a fair point. However, that doesn’t make The Bella Twins any less deserving.
The 2020 WWE Hall of Fame will take place on Apr. 2 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL.
