Women's tag title WrestleMania 36

WWE adds Women’s tag titles match to WrestleMania 36

It’s official. The Kabuki Warriors will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross this weekend at WrestleMania 36.

WWE announced the match on tonight’s episode of Raw before Asuka took on Kayden Carter, who made her debut on the flagship show.

These two teams have a history together. After all, The Kabuki Warriors defeated Blisscross Applesauce for the tag titles last year at Hell in a Cell.

Since Asuka and Kairi Sane held the titles for 177 days and successfully defended them four times.

At one point, it seemed like the Divas of Doom would be their WrestleMania opponents. However, Bliss called out the champions at the beginning of the month, staking her claim as the next contender.

On the Mar. 13 episode of SmackDown, “The Empress of Tomorrow” attacked Bliss from behind during a tag team match against Sasha Banks and Bayley. Last week, “Little Miss Bliss” got her revenge when she beat Asuka in a one-on-one match and earned a title shot.

This means there will be four women’s title matches at WrestleMania for the first time ever.
