Earlier this week, Bell To Belles had the opportunity to sit down with NXT UK Superstar Xia Brookside to chat about her love for American Idol, thoughts on Meiko Satomura as the new NXT UK Women’s Champion, and being so successful at a young age.

During the interview, Kristen Ashly noted Brookside has a close relationship with fellow NXT UK Superstar Piper Niven, who debuted on the June 14 episode of RAW alongside a returning Eva Marie. Brookside was asked to give her thoughts on the debut.

“We saw a ‘mysterious’ woman debut!” Brookside joked, referring to the confusing decision by RAW commentators to not recognize Niven, who has been a dominant force in the NXT UK women’s division since early 2019.

“I’m so proud of her,” Brookside continued. “She deserves it. She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my entire life. I met her in Japan, I think it was 2017, I want to say, on my tour of Japan. And I met her out there, and three months in Japan on your own, I was 18…she just took me under her wing and just protected me the whole time, [and] she’s been there ever since.”

Brookside continued by saying, “She has so much to offer, so much, to wrestling, to people. She’s so inspiring. That’s who to follow on social media.”
